I love the challenge of conference management — guiding client projects and keeping things on track from start to finish, culminating in a successful event. I collaborate closely with our clients and aim to be a reassuring presence in our work together.
I believe a community is built from the inside out. I love planning events where people can connect and collaborate to build their community. It’s so satisfying to help organizations with the strategic goals that will eventually shape their program and promote a successful conference with truly engaged delegates.
I evaluate processes and establish best practices so our growing team can focus on building scientific communities and delivering successful conferences. I love exploring our team’s ideas to ensure we’re all working as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Senior Conference Manager
Working with clients to deliver their vision, I take pride in managing both strategic society initiatives and minute conference logistics. Seeing happy delegates, proud committee and board members, and satisfied sponsors and exhibitors at the end of a conference gives me a sense of accomplishment and delight.
I provide support to team members by handling email and phone correspondence, preparing for conferences (I’m the name badge queen), and sourcing on-site services. My favourite part of the job is being on-site at a conference and meeting face to face with the people I’ve been communicating with via email for months.
Whether it be reviewing contracts or compiling financial statements, our client’s goals and interests are at the heart of my work. I ensure our client finances are sound and that our buyers and suppliers needs are met on time, as well as on budget.
Cendrine De Vis
When it comes to planning and organizing conferences, I’m a master of detail. I love putting all of the pieces together, and strive to create a unique, custom experience for each conference. I enjoy seeing months of hard work pay off at an event — and delegates having a wonderful time.
As a conference assistant my passion inspires me to deliver quality service, provide excellent support to my team members and assist in creating memorable conferences for our clients.
